About the Role
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00–$70 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Responsibilities:
Provide gentle and thorough dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, and oral hygiene instruction
Conduct oral health assessments and maintain accurate charting
Take and process digital dental X-rays
Apply sealants and desensitizing agents as needed
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
Build strong rapport with patients to encourage a positive dental experience
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using dental software (e.g., Dentrix)
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and supportive workflow
Uphold strict infection prevention and sterilization protocols
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Requirements
Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO)
Previous experience working with children and families is highly valued
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with young patients
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Familiarity with paediatric behaviour management techniques is a plus
Experience with dental software and digital imaging equipment
